Mobile SSO for Intuit Apps
Spearheaded the cross-app enablement of Mobile SSO across Intuit’s iOS and Android apps. This initiative enhanced user experience by eliminating redundant logins across QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mint, and other apps. The result was a more streamlined and efficient user journey, significantly improving customer satisfaction and engagement.

The Challenge: Friction in Cross-App Journeys
Each mobile app managed user sessions independently. Even when a user was logged into one Intuit app, transitioning to another new downloaded app (e.g., exporting tax data from QuickBooks to TurboTax) required a full sign-in flow hurting user experience and conversion during peak seasonal flows.
The Opportunity: Secure Session Sharing
By updating the mobile platform to support secure session sharing and native SSO capabilities, we could reduce friction, shorten time to value, and increase adoption of cross-product journeys.
Approach
Platformizing SSO to Enable Frictionless Access and Drive Engagement
While shaping the vision for a scalable Single Sign-On (SSO) capability, I aligned it with a key cross-BU priority: increasing user engagement. By reducing login friction, SSO emerged as a strategic lever to deepen session continuity and retention across apps.
To drive buy-in and adoption, I:
-
Positioned SSO as a growth enabler, not just a security feature—connecting it to top-line engagement goals.
-
Standardized integration via AuthClient SDKs, enabling plug-and-play authentication across iOS and Android apps.
-
Partnered with the Identity team to ensure mobile readiness met compliance, risk, and legacy requirements.
-
Led cross-functional rollout, providing clear SDK guidance and integration support to accelerate adoption.
-
Enabled seamless cross-app identity, coordinating keychain sharing and deep linking to preserve session context.
